Regular Season Round 17: Oberhaching - Schwabing 70-64

There was a small surprise in Deisenhofen where ninth ranked Oberhaching (7-9) beat 6th ranked Schwabing (9-7) 70-64 on Sunday. American guard Omari Knox (188-86, college: Bloomfield) stepped up and scored 19 points, 9 rebounds, 7 assists and 6 steals for the winners and forward Frieder Diestelhorst (201-87) chipped in 26 points and 9 rebounds. Forward Oscar Da Silva (206-98) responded with 15 points and Chris Wurmseher (192-97) scored 9 points and 6 assists. Schwabing's coach Robert Scheinberg tested ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Oberhaching moved-up to seventh place in South-East, which they share with Ansbach and Jena II. Loser Schwabing keeps the sixth position with seven games lost. Oberhaching will face higher ranked Vilsbiburg (#4) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
