Rather expected game in Buyukcekmece where 9th ranked Demir IBB (6-9) was crushed by seventh ranked Galatasaray (9-6) 90-71 on Sunday. Galatasaray looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. It was a great evening for international Sinan Guler (192-83, college: Carroll, MT, agency: 1x1 Sports) who led his team to a victory scoring 26 points and 5 rebounds. German center Tibor Pleiss (217-89) helped adding 12 points and 11 rebounds. Four Galatasaray players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Croatian-Bosnian center Andrija Stipanovic (209-86, agency: BeoBasket) with 18 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) and American guard Osiris Eldridge (191-88, college: Illinois St.) scored 16 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Galatasaray moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Pinar Karsiyaka. Loser Demir IBB keeps the ninth position with nine games lost. Galatasaray will face Balikesir (#15) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Demir IBB will play against Trabzonspor (#14) and hope to win that game.
