Regular Season Round 14: B.Loewen - TuSLi Berlin 59-56

Tenth-ranked TuSLi Berlin (3-11) made lots of trouble for first ranked B.Loewen (7-7). B.Loewen managed to secure only three-point victory 59-56. However their fans expected much easier game. TuSLi Berlin cut a 15-point halftime deficit to three at the end of the game. B.Loewen dominated on the defensive end, holding TuSLi Berlin to just 4 points in first quarter. They brought some defensive toughness making 10 blocks. American Ja'Nee Morton (175) orchestrated the victory by scoring 21 points and 7 rebounds. The other American import center Catrina Green (188-92, college: Gardner-Webb) contributed with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. B.Loewen's coach Svanhildur Gilles allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Center Nyara Sabally (185-0) replied with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 15 rebounds and swingman Jenny Menz (184-91, college: UTSA) added 18 points in the effort for TuSLi Berlin. Despite that victory B.Loewen went down to sixth position (North) due to points difference, which they share with Gruenberg. TuSLi Berlin lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the tenth place with 11 games lost. B.Loewen will play against league's second-placed Goettingen on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. TuSLi Berlin will play against Krofdorf/Gleib. (#5) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
