Regular Season Round 15: Krivbas-2 - Dnipro-2 92-76

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Kryvyi Rih. First ranked Krivbas-2 faced 4th placed Dnipro-2. Host Krivbas-2 (14-2) defeated guests from Dnepropetrovsk (6-10) 92-76. The game was mostly controlled by Krivbas-2. Dnipro-2 managed to win fourth quarter 21-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 23-of-30 free shots (76.7 percent) during the game. Krivbas-2 forced 22 Dnipro-2 turnovers. Strangely Dnipro-2 outrebounded Krivbas-2 44-30 including a 21-10 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. 24 personal fouls committed by Dnipro-2 helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was center Valeriy Anisimov (210-90, agency: AproK Sports Group) who scored 21 points and 8 rebounds. Guard Dmitro Vasilenko (191-97) chipped in 18 points and 7 assists. Four Krivbas-2 players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Georgiy Altuhov (180-96) who recorded 20 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists and guard Yusuf Sanon (190-99) added 18 points and 11 rebounds respectively. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Krivbas-2 have an impressive series of nine victories in a row. They maintain first place with 14-2 record, which they share with Hoverla. Newly promoted Dnipro-2 dropped to the fifth position with ten games lost. Krivbas-2 is looking forward to face league's second-placed Azovmash in Mariupol in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Dnipro-2 will play at home against Niko-Basket and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
