Regular Season Round 11: Tim-Scuf - Tavriyska Zirka 81-41

Everything went according to plan in Kyiv where second ranked Tim-Scuf (12-1) outscored bottom-ranked Tavriyska Zivka (0-13) 81-41 on Sunday. The game without a history. Tim-Scuf led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Tavriyska Zivka to just 7 points in first quarter. Tim-Scuf dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Tavriyska Zivka's 24. Tim-Scuf forced 26 Tavriyska Zivka turnovers and outrebounded them 52-36 including a 23-11 advantage in offensive rebounds. Tim-Scuf looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Tavriyska Zivka's players. It was a great evening for center Veronika Liubinets (188-99) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 28 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. Guard Yuliya Berezinets (182-90) helped adding 19 points and 13 rebounds. Coach Maryna Tkachenko's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play 10 players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Forward Svetlana Maliar (180-88) responded with 17 points and 8 rebounds and forward Daria Shtura (174-94) scored 8 points. The victory was the tenth consecutive win for Tim-Scuf. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Avangard. Tavriyska Zivka lost their thirteenth game in a row. They still close the standings with 13 games lost. Tim-Scuf's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Kyiv Dynamo-NPU.
