Regular Season Round 25: Kryvbas - Dnipro 81-87

Very important is a home loss of third ranked Kryvbas (15-6) against fourth ranked Dnipro (16-6) on Friday night. Host Kryvbas were defeated by Dnipro in a tough game in Kryvyi Rih 81-87. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Kryvbas. It looked good early as Kryvbas took a 1-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Dnipro had a 26-22 second period charge getting the lead and Kryvbas were not able to take back game control losing it eventually 81-87. They outrebounded Kryvbas 35-22 including 22 on the defensive glass. Kryvbas were plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Swingman Pavel Revzin (194-83) stepped up and scored 25 points and 6 rebounds for the winners and international Olexandr Mishula (192-92) chipped in 18 points and 9 assists. At the losing side point guard Igor Boyarkin (182-95, agency: AproK Sports Group) responded with 16 points and 4 assists and international swingman Dmytro Gliebov (198-88) scored 13 points and 4 steals. Four Kryvbas players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Dnipro have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to third place. Kryvbas at the other side dropped to the fourth position with six games lost. Dnipro will play against Mykolaiv (#7) in Mykolaiv in the next round. Kryvbas will play at home against Zaporizhya and hope to get back on the winning track.
