Not a big story in a game when 11th ranked Mazeikiai (11-20) was defeated on the road by ninth ranked Palanga (15-16) 85-73. Mazeikiai was ahead by 2 points after three quarters before a 25-11 charge of Palanga, which allowed them to win the game. They made 19-of-23 charity shots (82.6 percent) during the game. American guard Raijon Kelly (190-93, college: Angelo St.) notched 23 points and 8 rebounds to lead the effort and forward Aurimas Urbonas (198-93) supported him with 20 points. Four Palanga players scored in double figures. Even 18 points and 6 rebounds by forward Rytis Biliartas (200-91) did not help to save the game for Mazeikiai. Swingman Kostas Jonuska (195-92) added 16 points. Palanga moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Vytis. Mazeikiai at the other side dropped to the twelfth position with 20 games lost. Palanga will play against bottom-ranked Petrochema (#14) in Jonava in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Mazeikiai will play on the road against Delikatesas in Joniskis and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
