Regular Season Round 20: Akhisar Bld - Eskisehir Basket 90-92

Eleventh-ranked Akhisar Bld (8-12) gave a tough game to second ranked Eskisehir Basket (17-3) on Saturday. The visitors from Edirne managed to secure only two-point victory 92-90. However their fans expected much easier game. Eskisehir Basket looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. 26 personal fouls committed by Akhisar Bld helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward Josh Duncan (203-86) who helped to win the game recording 34 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) and the former international center Cemal Nalga (213-87, agency: BeoBasket) who added 9 points, 12 rebounds and 8 assists during the contest. American forward Tyler Smith (200-86, college: Tennessee) responded with 19 points and 9 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) and the former international Reha Oz (200-78) scored 24 points and 5 rebounds. Four Eskisehir Basket and five Akhisar Bld players scored in double figures. Eskisehir Basket have a solid three-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Sakarya BSB. Akhisar Bld lost third consecutive game. They keep the eleventh place with 12 games lost. Eskisehir Basket is looking forward to face Mamak DSI (#17) in Ankara in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Akhisar Bld will play on the road against Yalova Bld (#13) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
