Regular Season Round 15: Spartak - Smederevo 86-71

Very predictable result in Subotica where fourth ranked Spartak (10-5) defeated bottom-ranked Smederevo (1-14) 86-71. The game was mostly controlled by Spartak. Smederevo was better in second period 19-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a good game for guard Nikola Hristov (190-92, agency: Mansfield and Associates) who led his team to a victory with 23 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Center Stefan Andrejevic (206-93) contributed with 13 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Spartak's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Point guard Novak Music (188-98, agency: BeoBasket) answered with 15 points and 7 assists and forward Stefan Kenic (200-97, agency: BeoBasket) added 11 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Smederevo. Spartak moved-up to third place, which they share with Borac. Smederevo lost their twelfth game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with 14 games lost. Spartak's next round opponent will be Beovuk 72 (#9) in Beograd which should be theoretically an easy game. Smederevo will play at home against OKK Beograd (#11) and hope to win that game.
