Regular Season Round 16: Zolotoi Vek - SumDU 124-74

No shocking result in a game when second ranked Zolotoi Vek (13-3) crushed 6th ranked SumDU (2-14) in Kirovograd 124-74 on Saturday. The game without a history. Zolotoi Vek led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Zolotoi Vek forced 19 SumDU turnovers and outrebounded them 44-21 including a 21-2 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 41 assists comparing to just 21 passes made by SumDU's players. Quite impressive performance for forward Olexandr Drobiazko (196-93, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 23 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). Power forward Andriy Kulish (205-92) contributed with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Five Zolotoi Vek players scored in double figures. Zolotoi Vek's coach Andrey Bilozerskiy felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward Sergei Glinchak (-89) replied with 17 points and 5 rebounds and forward Kirilo Kalambet (202-92) added 18 points in the effort for SumDU. Zolotoi Vek have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 13-3 record having five points less than leader Krivbas-2. SumDU lost ninth consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with 14 games lost. Zolotoi Vek will face Kremen-2 (#7) in Kremenchuk in the next round where they are favorite. SumDU will play on the road against Dnipro-2 in Dnepropetrovsk and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
