Not a big story in a game when bottom-ranked KPZO DYUSH (0-15) was outscored by fourth ranked Politekhn.Lvov (10-5) in Lviv 98-58 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Politekhn.Lvov. KPZO DYUSH was better in second period 21-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Politekhn.Lvov looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by KPZO DYUSH's players. It was a very good performance for center Roman Novikov (204-92, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) who helped to win the game recording 19 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Forward Dmytro Khodov (203-87) contributed with 15 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Four Politekhn.Lvov players scored in double figures. Forward Oleksandr Kuznetsov (196-78) replied with 13 points and 5 rebounds and center Pavlo Riazantsev (202-95) added 8 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for KPZO DYUSH. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Politekhn.Lvov have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place. Newly promoted KPZO DYUSH still closes the standings with 15 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
