There was a small surprise in Joniskis where twelfth ranked Delikatesas (12-19) beat 10th ranked KTU (12-20) 73-62. The game was mostly controlled by Delikatesas. KTU was better in second period 14-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 20-of-26 charity shots (76.9 percent) during the game. KTU was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Forward Darius Griskenas (194-84) notched 24 points to lead the effort and swingman Zilvinas Petraitis (194-88) supported him with 12 points and 8 rebounds. Four Delikatesas players scored in double figures. Even 18 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists by point guard Martynas Zigmantavicius (187-96) did not help to save the game for KTU. Deividas Poguzinskas (202-95, college: High School) added 12 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. KTU's coach Vytautas Pliauga rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Delikatesas moved-up to tenth place. Newly promoted KTU dropped to the eleventh position with 20 games lost. Delikatesas will play against Mazeikiai (#12) at home in the next round. KTU will have a break next round.
