There was no surprise when 12th ranked Giants (3-14) lost on the road to sixth ranked BG Karlsruhe (9-7) 92-76 on Saturday. BG Karlsruhe shot 61.8 percent from the field. Russian-Israeli power forward Anton Kazarnovski (206-85) orchestrated the victory by scoring 22 points and 5 rebounds. American guard Ricky Easterling (189-83, college: Bridgewater) contributed with 22 points for the winners. American forward Adrien Coleman (198-91, college: Beth.-Cookman) answered with 24 points (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) and center Adrian Lind (206-94) added 12 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Giants. Five BG Karlsruhe and four Giants players scored in double figures. Giants' coach let to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. BG Karlsruhe moved-up to fifth place in South, which they share with FC Bayern II. Loser Giants keep the twelfth position with 14 games lost. BG Karlsruhe will face league's second-placed Weissenhorn Youngstars on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Giants will play against Elchingen (#3) and hope to win that game.
