ProB top team - SSV Lok Bernau (12-5) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat ninth ranked Rostock (7-10) 65-52. SSV Lok Bernau made 19-of-22 charity shots (86.4 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 Rostock turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. 24 personal fouls committed by Rostock helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American players dominated also this game. The best player for the winners was guard Pierre Bland (188-92, college: IPFW, agency: Dynamics Global Management) who had a double-double by scoring 17 points, 7 rebounds and 10 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). Forward Timajh Parker-Rivera (202-94, college: Towson) chipped in 6 points and 8 rebounds. Point guard Jarvis Davis (183-91, college: Gardner-Webb) produced 15 points and 7 rebounds and swingman Jovonni Shuler (195-87, college: Savannah St.) added 16 points respectively for the guests. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Newly promoted SSV Lok Bernau maintains first place in North with 12-5 record, which they share with Art.Dragons and Oldenburg. Rostock at the other side dropped to the eighth position with ten games lost. SSV Lok Bernau's next round opponent will be Oldenburg (#3) on the road, which may be the game of the day. Rostock will play against SC Rist Wedel (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
