There was no surprise in Vilnius where 9th ranked Nevezis (5-16) was defeated by third ranked Lietuvos rytas (15-6) 86-78. Nevezis was ahead by 3 points at the halftime before a 52-41 second half run of Lietuvos rytas. American-Polish guard David Logan (185-82, college: Indianapolis) nailed 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side and the former international swingman Arturas Jomantas (200-85) accounted for 14 points and 9 rebounds. Four Lietuvos rytas players scored in double figures. Center Karolis Petrukonis (212-87, college: Clemson) came up with 17 points and 6 rebounds and Serbian forward Ivan Smiljanic (199-89, agency: Octagon Europe) added 16 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Nevezis in the defeat.
