Rather expected game in Adana where 12th ranked Osmaniye (3-11) was defeated by tenth ranked Botas (7-8) 81-72. Botas outrebounded Osmaniye 42-29 including 27 on the defensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Odyssey Sims (175-92, college: Baylor) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 7 rebounds, 13 assists and 4 steals. Her fellow American import point guard Natasha Lacy (178-85, college: UTEP) accounted for 17 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists for the winning side. Four Botas players scored in double figures. Botas' coach Ceyhun Yildizoglu used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American guard Rebekah Gardner (185-90, college: UCLA) came up with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists and Dutch forward Chatilla Van Grinsven (190-89, college: St.Joseph's, agency: LBM Management) added 18 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Osmaniye in the defeat. Botas moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Adana ASKI and Hatay. Newly promoted Osmaniye dropped to the thirteenth position with 11 games lost. Botas' next round opponent will be Mersin MBK (#11) on the road. Osmaniye will play against Yakin Dogu BGD and hope to win that game.
