Rather predictable result in Kyiv where second ranked Tim-Scuf (12-1) smashed 6th ranked Blyskavky (7-7) 91-72 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Tim-Scuf. Blyskavky was better in fourth quarter 21-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 25-of-31 free shots (80.6 percent) during the game. Tim-Scuf looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a great evening for the former international swingman Nataliya Skorbatyuk (182-95) who led her team to a victory scoring 15 points and 7 rebounds. The former international center Miriam Uro-Nile (188-94, agency: LBM Management) helped adding 16 points and 6 rebounds. Five Tim-Scuf players scored in double figures. The former international power forward Tetyana Yurkevicius (187-95) responded with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 13 rebounds and forward Tetyana Lysenko (180-93) scored 15 points. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. The victory was the tenth consecutive win for Tim-Scuf. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Avangard. Loser Blyskavky keeps the sixth place with seven games lost. Tim-Scuf's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Kyiv Dynamo-NPU.
