Eighth-ranked Giessen 46ers (9-10) gave a tough game to fourth ranked ALBA Berlin (14-5) on Sunday. ALBA Berlin managed to secure only one-point victory 85-84. However their fans expected much easier game. 26 personal fouls committed by Giessen 46ers helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of Serbian swingman Dragan Milosavljevic (198-89) who helped to win the game recording 14 points and 4 assists and American forward Malcolm Miller (200-93, college: Holy Cross) who added 15 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. American forward Justin Sears (203-94, college: Yale) responded with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds and his fellow American import point guard Cameron Wells (186-88, college: Citadel) scored 15 points and 4 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. ALBA Berlin have an impressive ten-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position with 14-5 record. Giessen 46ers at the other side keep the eighth place with ten games lost. ALBA Berlin are looking forward to face Telekom Baskets (#7) in Bonn in the next round.
