Very expected game in Balikesir where 18th ranked Muglaorman (2-18) was defeated by tenth ranked Bandirma Kir. (10-10) 89-73 on Sunday. Bandirma Kir. dominated down low during the game scoring 72 of its points in the paint compared to Muglaorman's 32. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Nigerian center Tonye Jekiri (213-94, college: Miami, FL) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds and Talat Alp Altunbey (204-94) who added 16 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. American guard Ricky Harris (187-87, college: Massachusetts) responded with 21 points (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) and his fellow American import center Marvin Jefferson (206-86, college: Idaho) scored 14 points and 8 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Bandirma Kir. moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Turk Telekom. Muglaorman lost seventh consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay dead last with 18 lost games. Bandirma Kir. will face Gelisim (#16) in Izmir in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Muglaorman will play at home against Afyon Bld and hope to win that game.
