There was no surprise in Ankara where 12th ranked Ferko Ilgaz (10-12) was outplayed by second ranked Ormanspor (18-4) 75-52. Ormanspor outrebounded Ferko Ilgaz 46-29 including a 33-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. 24 personal fouls committed by Ferko Ilgaz helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a very good performance for forward Asli Sevinc (178-79, agency: LBM Management) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points and 14 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Nigerian-American center Aisha Mohammed (191-85, college: Virginia) contributed with 16 points and 8 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. Center Basak Altunbey (189-96) replied with 17 points and 5 rebounds and guard Melek Yusufoglu (168-94) added 5 points in the effort for Ferko Ilgaz. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Ormanspor have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 18-4 record having just two points less than leader Bornova, which they share with Edremit. Ferko Ilgaz at the other side dropped to the eleventh place with 12 games lost. Ormanspor's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Ankara to the arena TED Ankara.
