Regular Season Round 19: Craiova - UBT Cluj Napoca 74-75

Ninth-ranked Craiova (4-13) used its home court advantage to challenge first ranked UBT Cluj Napoca (15-2) on Wednesday. The visitors from Cluj Napoca managed to secure only one-point victory 75-74. However their fans expected much easier game. Craiova trailed by 13 points after 3 quarters before a 21-9 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 74-75 at the end of the game. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international Vlad Moldoveanu (206-88, college: American) who helped to win the game recording 25 points. American Kyndall Dykes (192-87, college: New Orleans) contributed with 11 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Dykes is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. American guard Tayloe Taylor (191-86, college: Livingstone) answered with 16 points and 4 assists and the other American import swingman Jamar Abrams (201-89, college: E.Carolina, agency: Inception Sports) added 14 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Craiova. Four Craiova players scored in double figures. Craiova's coach Vladimir Vuksanovic tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. UBT Cluj Napoca have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain first place with 15-2 record. Craiova lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the tenth position with 13 games lost. UBT Cluj Napoca are looking forward to face Phoenix Galati (#8) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
