Second Stage Round 7: Palanga - Petrochema 65-69

Bottom-ranked Petrochema managed to get a eighth victory. This time they won against ninth-ranked Palanga 69-65. Palanga was ahead by 5 points after three quarters before a 19-10 charge of Petrochema, which allowed them to win the game. They also forced 19 Palanga turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Karolis Sarukas (198-95) who helped to win the game recording 30 points and 8 rebounds. Point guard Lukas Grabauskas (194-95) contributed with 8 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. Center Antanas Bertasius (205-94) answered with 16 points and 9 rebounds and guard Zygimantas Simonis (192-95) added 11 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Palanga. Petrochema (8-24) moved-up to thirteenth place. Palanga at the other side keeps the ninth position with 17 games lost. Petrochema will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Palanga will play again on the road against Petrochema (#13) in Jonava and hopes to get back on the winning track.
