Regular Season Round 16: Smederevo - OKK Beograd 85-71

Bottom-ranked Smederevo managed to get a second victory, breaking the twelve-game losing streak on Friday night. This time they won against eleventh-ranked OKK Beograd 85-71. They outrebounded OKK Beograd 43-27 including 32 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Novak Music (188-98, agency: BeoBasket) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 6 assists and Georgian power forward Goga Bitadze (210-99) who added 16 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Four Smederevo players scored in double figures. Smederevo's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side naturalized Bosnian point guard Aleksej Nesovic (189-85, agency: BeoBasket) responded with 28 points and 4 assists and point guard Strahinja Jovanovic (180-96) scored 15 points. Smederevo (2-14) moved-up to thirteenth place. OKK Beograd at the other side keeps the eleventh position with ten games lost. They share it with Sloga. Smederevo will meet higher ranked KK Napredak Rubin Krusevac (#8) on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. OKK Beograd's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Beograd Beovuk 72.
