Regular Season Round 19: Bonn II - Muenster 73-72

There was an upset when 3rd placed Muenster (13-6) was edged on the road by ninth ranked Bonn II (9-10) 73-72 on Saturday. Quite impressive performance for swingman Joel Zeymer (194-94) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds. Philipp Gruber (193-96) contributed with 12 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Guard Anselm Hartmann (191-93) answered with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 12 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals and American guard Gerrell Martin (190-93, college: LIU Brooklyn) added 21 points in the effort for Muenster. Muenster's coach Phillip Kappenstein tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Bonn II moved-up to eighth place in West, which they share with Duesseldorf and Ibbenbueren. Loser Muenster dropped to the fourth position with six games lost. Bonn II will face Frintrop (#12) in Essen-Frintrop in the next round. Muenster will play at home against Hertener Loewen (#11) and hope to win that game.
