Regular Season Round 12: Blyskavky - Suzirja 65-47

The game in Vinnytsia supposed to be also worth to mention about. One of their biggest challengers Suzirja (8-7) played at the court of sixth ranked Blyskavky (8-7). Blyskavky did not have too big problems ending evening with a very confident victory 65-47. The game without a history. Blyskavky led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They held Suzirja to an opponent 23.0 percent shooting from the field compared to 36.8 percent accuracy of the winners. Blyskavky had a 36-23 advantage in offensive rebounds. They brought some defensive toughness making 9 blocks. 26 personal fouls committed by Suzirja helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The winners were led by the former international power forward Tetyana Yurkevicius (187-95) who scored that evening 9 points, 13 rebounds and 5 blocks and forward Tetyana Lysenko (180-93) supported her with 9 points and 12 rebounds. Even 8 points and 10 rebounds by Liudmila Spyrydonova did not help to save the game for Suzirja. The former international swingman Krystyna Matsko (182-91) added 13 points and 5 rebounds. Blyskavky moved-up to fourth place, which they share with defeated Suzirja. Suzirja lost third consecutive game. Blyskavky's next round opponent will be Dynamo-NPU (#6) in Kyiv. Suzirja will play on the road against Dynamo-NPU in Kyiv and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
