Regular Season Round 18: Art.Dragons - Stahnsdorf 91-82

Date: February 4, 2017
Not a big story in a game in Quakenbrueck where 11th ranked RSV Eintracht (5-13) was defeated by second ranked Artland Dragons (13-5) 91-82 on Saturday. Artland Dragons made 27-of-34 free shots (79.4 percent) during the game, while RSV Eintracht only scored seven points from the stripe. Strangely RSV Eintracht outrebounded Artland Dragons 51-34 including 20 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was American forward Gregory Graves (201-93, college: Mt.St.Mary's) who had a double-double by scoring 24 points and 11 rebounds. Naturalized American point guard Matthew Reid (185-84, college: Cameron, agency: Octagon Europe) chipped in 14 points and 7 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Josh Smith (206-94, college: Clemson) who recorded a double-double by scoring 20 points and 18 rebounds and his fellow American import guard Antoine Myers (191-90, college: Troy) added 18 points respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. RSV Eintracht's coach let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Artland Dragons have a solid four-game winning streak. They keep a position of North leader, which they share with Bernau. RSV Eintracht lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the eleventh place with 13 games lost. Artland Dragons will meet AstroStars (#5) in the next round. RSV Eintracht will play against Rostock (#8) and hope to secure a win.
