Rather predictable result when fourth ranked Bad Aibling (13-5) won against at home 6th ranked Schwabing (9-9) 87-83 on Saturday. Bad Aibling made 24-of-30 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Schwabing was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a very good performance for guard Claus-Martin Weiss (192-85) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 6 rebounds. Swingman Malo Valerien (195-92) contributed with 20 points for the winners. Australian point guard Shane McDonald (188-85, college: Nova SE) answered with 23 points and forward Oscar Da Silva (206-98) added 13 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Schwabing. Five Bad Aibling and four Schwabing players scored in double figures. Schwabing's coach Robert Scheinberg rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Bad Aibling moved-up to third place in South-East. Schwabing lost their third game in a row. They keep the sixth position with nine games lost. Bad Aibling will face Vilsbiburg (#5) on the road in the next round. Schwabing will play against the league's second-placed Treuchtlingen and hope to win that game.
