Very predictable result when second ranked Crailsheim Merlins (17-5) smashed at home 13th ranked Ehingen/Urspringschule (6-15) 115-66 on Saturday. Crailsheim Merlins shot 64.3 percent from the field. Crailsheim Merlins outrebounded Ehingen/Urspringschule 38-25 including a 30-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 19 long-distance shots on high 55.9 percentage. Crailsheim Merlins looked well-organized offensively handing out 40 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Ehingen/Urspringschule's players. American guard Chase Griffin (190-83, college: Pepperdine) stepped up and scored 23 points and 4 assists for the winners and the former international forward Konrad Wysocki (202-82, college: Princeton) chipped in 23 points. Five Crailsheim Merlins players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Joel-Sadu Aminu (193-97) with 14 points and Christopher Wolf (199-95) scored 12 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
