Thirteenth-ranked Petrochema (8-25) used its home court advantage to challenge ninth ranked Palanga (16-17) in Jonava. The visitors from Palanga managed to secure only eight-point victory 89-81. However their fans expected much easier game. The guests were tied after three quarters and then recorded another tie at the end of regular time. They eventually won an overtime period 13-5. Palanga forced 19 Petrochema turnovers. The best player for the winners was center Antanas Bertasius (205-94) who had a double-double by scoring 30 points and 10 rebounds. Forward Aurimas Urbonas (198-93) chipped in 23 points and 5 rebounds. Point guard Lukas Grabauskas (194-95) produced 18 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Tomas Milinskas (203-90) added 15 points, 9 rebounds and 4 blocks respectively for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Palanga moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Vytis. Petrochema at the other side dropped to the bottom. Palanga's next round opponent will be Ezerunas-Karys (#13) in Moletai where they are favorite. Petrochema will play at home against Delikatesas and hope to win that game.
