Very expected game when Benfica B (0-3) lost to Terceira (2-0) in Angra Heroismo 57-70 on Saturday. Terceira forced 24 Benfica B turnovers. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Isaiah Ivey (188-93, college: Gardner-Webb) who led the winners and scored 21 points and 6 rebounds. Guard Luis Felipe Tomassi (175-92) accounted for 6 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists for the winning side. Slovenian guard Aljaz Slutej (188-96) came up with 11 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and power forward Andre Mendes (198-96) added 10 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Benfica B in the defeat. Four Benfica B players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Terceira will meet at home Barreirense in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Benfica B will play against Dragon Force (#2) and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
