Regular Season Round 16: Amager - SISU 70-75

Date: February 4, 2017
Very important is a home loss of third ranked Amager (8-5) against sixth ranked SISU (4-10) on Saturday night. Host Amager was defeated by SISU in a tough game in Kastrup 70-75. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Amager. Amager was ahead by 9 points after three quarters before a 27-13 charge of SISU, which allowed them to win the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Kama Griffitts (183-91, college: Arizona) who helped to win the game recording 28 points and 8 rebounds and the other American import guard Ciara Andrews (175-94, college: St.Joseph's) who added 27 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side forward Catharina Jensen (182-89) responded with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists and Filipino-American forward Kelly Hardeman (183-94, college: Azusa Pacific) scored 14 points and 8 rebounds. Amager's coach Sam Tamargo tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. SISU maintains sixth position with 4-10 record. Amager at the other side keeps the third place with five games lost. SISU will play against league's leader Virum at home in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Amager will have a break next round.
