Regular Season Round 12: Beroe - Neftochimic 73-56

An exciting game was played in Stara Zagora. Third ranked Beroe faced 4th ranked Neftochimic. Host Beroe (6-3) defeated guests from Burgas (4-6) 73-56. Beroe dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Neftochimic's 30. They outrebounded Neftochimic 41-23 including a 14-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American-Trinidad and Tobago forward Kellindra Zackery (184-88, college: Newman) who scored 19 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists. American center Cierra Robertson-Warren (193-91, college: San Diego St., agency: Two Points) chipped in a double-double by scoring 15 points, 11 rebounds and 4 blocks. Beroe's coach Tatyana Gateva used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was swingman Teodora Dineva (178-96) who recorded 16 points and 8 rebounds (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) and Slovenian center Tina Trebec (190-90) added 16 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Beroe have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Montana 2003. Neftochimic at the other side keeps the fourth position with six games lost. Beroe is looking forward to face league's leader Haskovo 2012 on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Neftochimic will have a break next round.
