Regular Season Round 21: Gmunden - Kapfenberg 92-81

An interesting game for Gmunden Swans (14-6) which hosted in Gmunden 3rd placed Kapfenberg Bulls (11-9). Second ranked Gmunden Swans managed to get a 11-point victory 92-81. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Kapfenberg Bulls. The game was mostly controlled by Gmunden Swans. Kapfenberg Bulls was better in third quarter 22-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Gmunden Swans players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists. The best player for the winners was international forward Enis Murati (194-88, agency: Octagon Europe) who scored 26 points and 4 assists (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!). Naturalized German power forward Tilo Klette (206-77) chipped in 15 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was Serbian point guard Bogic Vujosevic (190-92) who recorded a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 assists (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) and naturalized Croatian power forward Milan Stegnjaic (204-81) added 22 points respectively. Five Gmunden Swans and four Kapfenberg Bulls players scored in double figures. Gmunden Swans maintains second place with 14-6 record behind leader Oberwart. Kapfenberg Bulls at the other side keep the third position with nine games lost. Gmunden Swans' next round opponent will be Furstenfeld Panthers (#5) on the road. Kapfenberg Bulls will play against Raiffeisen Wels and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
