Second Stage Round 3: Dragon Force - Estoril Basket 81-64

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Estoril Basket (1-1) in Porto on Sunday night. Visitors were defeated by Dragon Force (3-0) 81-64. Dragon Force made 17-of-19 free shots (89.5 percent) during the game. It was a good game for guard Pedro Figueiredo (188-94) who led his team to a victory with 16 points. Cape Verdean center Kevin Clay Gomes (209-95) contributed with 8 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Forward Sergio Lugo Santos (198-92) answered with 12 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Joao Carlos Soares (179-94) added 6 points and 4 assists in the effort for Estoril Basket. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Dragon Force is looking forward to face Benfica B (#7) in Lisboa in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Estoril Basket will play against Academico FC and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
