The game between closely ranked teams ended with fifth ranked Krofdorf/Gleib.'s (9-7) home victory over 6th ranked B.Loewen (7-9) 70-63 on Sunday. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 26-13. But B.Loewen won third quarter 19-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Americans were the main players on the court. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Erin Bratcher (175-92, college: Charleston So.) who helped to win the game recording 23 points and 8 rebounds and forward Chelsea Small (185, college: Indiana St.) who added 9 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. At the losing side Ja'Nee Morton (175) responded with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists and center Catrina Green (188-92, college: Gardner-Webb) scored 12 points and 7 rebounds. Four B.Loewen players scored in double figures. Despite that victory Krofdorf/Gleib. went down to sixth position (North) due to points difference. Loser B.Loewen still keeps top place with nine games lost. Krofdorf/Gleib. will face higher ranked Goettingen (#3) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. B.Loewen will play against Baskets Grunberg and hope to win that game.
