BSL round 17 most important game was a victory of Banvit over 5th ranked Darussafaka 76-70 on Sunday night. American point guard Jordan Theodore (182-89, college: Seton Hall) orchestrated the victory by scoring 17 points and 8 assists. Polish power forward Damian Kulig (205-87, agency: BeoBasket) contributed with 11 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Four Banvit players scored in double figures. American guard Brad Wanamaker (193-89, college: Pittsburgh) answered with 20 points and 5 assists and Latvian Dairis Bertans (194-89) added 10 points and 4 assists in the effort for Darussafaka. Darussafaka's coach David Blatt rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Banvit maintains fourth place with 12-5 record. Darussafaka at the other side keeps the fifth position with six games lost. They share it with Galatasaray. Banvit are looking forward to face Galatasaray (#6) in Istanbul in the next round. Darussafaka will play on the road against Gaziantep and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
