Regular Season Round 17: TED Kolejliler - Anadolu Efes 72-74

Sixteenth-ranked TED Kolejliler (0-17) used its home court advantage to challenge second ranked Anadolu Efes (15-2) in Ankara. The visitors from Istanbul managed to secure only two-point victory 74-72. However their fans expected much easier game. French guard Thomas Heurtel (189-89, agency: BeoBasket) stepped up and scored 21 points and 5 assists for the winners and American forward Tyler Honeycutt (203-90, college: UCLA) chipped in 12 points and 5 rebounds. Four Anadolu Efes players scored in double figures. American guard Shannon Shorter (193-89, college: N.Texas) responded with 21 points and 4 steals and the other American import forward Ian Hummer (201-90, college: Princeton) scored 17 points and 6 rebounds. Anadolu Efes have a solid series of four victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Fenerbahce. TED Kolejliler at the other side still closes the standings. Anadolu Efes will play against Balikesir (#15) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. TED Kolejliler will play against Usak Sportlif and hopes to get finally their first victory.
