The game between closely ranked teams ended with 5th ranked Aistes-LSU's (6-12) road loss to fourth ranked Fortuna (10-8) 56-64. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 19-10. But Aistes-LSU won second period 18-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a good game for forward Lina Mikeleviciene (182-87) who led her team to a victory with 26 points and 6 rebounds. International center Justina Matuzonyte (198-94) contributed with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Guard Dovile Saurazaite (174-92) replied with 18 points and 5 assists and power forward Laura Zelnyte (190-94) added 14 points in the effort for Aistes-LSU. Aistes-LSU's coach Gediminas Meiliunas rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Fortuna have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with H-Sirenos. Aistes-LSU lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fifth position with 12 games lost. They share it with Siauliai-Univ.. Fortuna will play against bottom-ranked Ukmerges (#7) at home in the next round. Aistes-LSU will play against Siauliai-Univ. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
