Everything could happen in Torres Vedras at the game between two tied teams. Both fifteenth ranked Fisica and bottom-ranked Academia had identical 0-3 record. This time Fisica used a home court advantage and smashed the opponent from Lisboa 101-62 on Saturday night. Fisica made 19-of-23 free shots (82.6 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Frederico Tavares (194-88) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 9 rebounds and guard Miguel Salvador (187-81) who added 18 points and 6 assists during the contest. Four Fisica players scored in double figures. Fisica's coach Romero Junior felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. At the losing side Angolan forward Benedito Suca (196-84) responded with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds and Cape Verdean forward Denis Neves (197-78) scored 13 points. Fisica (1-3) left bottom position moving up to fourteenth place in Places 9-16, which they share with Sanjoanense. It was Academia's fourth loss in a row. They still close the standings with four games lost. Fisica will face higher ranked Ginasio (#11) in Figueira da Foz in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Academia will play at home against Sangalhos (#10) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
