Not a big story in a game in Edirne where 13th ranked Duzce Belediye (7-16) was defeated by second ranked Eskisehir Basket (19-4) 88-74 on Saturday. Eskisehir Basket dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Duzce Belediye's 28. They outrebounded Duzce Belediye 38-22 including a 29-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Eskisehir Basket looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists. It was a great evening for American power forward Josh Duncan (203-86) who led his team to a victory scoring 20 points and 6 rebounds. The former international swingman Evren Buker (195-85) helped adding 15 points and 6 assists. American-Puerto Rican point guard TreVon Hughes (183-87, college: Wisconsin) responded with 21 points and 4 assists and American center LaRon Dendy (205-88, college: Middle Tenn.St., agency: David Lee Services) scored 15 points and 5 rebounds. Four Duzce Belediye players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Eskisehir Basket used an opportunity after Sakarya BSB lost their game and moved up joining them at the top position. Newly promoted Duzce Belediye dropped to the fourteenth place with 16 games lost. Eskisehir Basket will face Turk Telekom (#9) in Ankara in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Duzce Belediye will play at home against Yalova Bld (#13) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
