Bottom-ranked CD Torres N. managed to get a third victory, breaking the four-game losing streak on Saturday night. This time they won against eleventh-ranked Lousada in Torres Novas 64-59. At the losing side American swingman Chelsea Waters (185, college: Gonzaga) responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds and point guard Nanci Barbosa (170-90) scored 11 points and 8 rebounds. CD Torres N. (3-10) moved-up to ninth place. Lousada lost eleventh consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom position with 12 games lost. They share it with Academico FC. CD Torres N. will meet at home higher ranked CAB Madeira (#6) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Lousada will have a break next round.
