Rather expected game in Bochum where 5th ranked AstroStars (11-8) were defeated by second ranked Artland Dragons (14-5) 77-68 on Saturday. Artland Dragons made 21-of-24 free shots (87.5 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 AstroStars turnovers. Forward Benjamin Fumey (203-87, college: Valparaiso) fired a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. American forward Gregory Graves (201-93, college: Mt.St.Mary's) chipped in 17 points and 6 rebounds. Five Artland Dragons players scored in double figures. Naturalized American point guard Gary Johnson (188-82, college: Cent.Florida) produced 14 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists and forward Alexander Angerer (203-96) added 9 points and 10 rebounds respectively for lost side. Artland Dragons have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They used an opportunity after Bernau lost their game and moved up joining them at the top position in North. Loser AstroStars keep the fifth place with eight games lost. Artland Dragons will face league's leader SSV Lok Bernau at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. AstroStars will play against Rostock (#9) and hope to win that game.
