The best player for the winners was American guard Quincy Douby (190-84, college: Rutgers) who scored 27 points. Forward Hadi Ozdemir (203-83) chipped in a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds. Afyon Bld's coach Mehmet Kabaran allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American forward Mikael Hopkins (206, college: Georgetown) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds and Deniz Cevik (194-94, agency: Octagon Europe) added 13 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Afyon Bld maintains fourth place with 17-7 record. Newly promoted Samsun keeps the eighth position with nine games lost. Afyon Bld will meet at home Bandirma Kir. (#10) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Samsun will play against Istanbulspor and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
