An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Klaipeda. First ranked Suduva-Mantinga faced their biggest opponent Nafta-Uni.. Guests from Marijampole (28-6) smashed host Nafta-Uni. (25-10) 94-70. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Nafta-Uni.. The game without a history. Suduva-Mantinga led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of swingman Gintautas Matulis (196-86) who helped to win the game recording 21 points. French Rytis Juknevicius (187-93, agency: Players Group) contributed with 10 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners. Five Suduva-Mantinga players scored in double figures. Coach Marius Kiltinavicius's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Point guard Mindaugas Stasys (179-86) replied with 22 points and 6 assists and forward Edvinas Alunderis (202-92) added 9 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for Nafta-Uni.Suduva-Mantinga have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 28-6 record. Nafta-Uni. at the other side keeps the second place with ten games lost. Suduva-Mantinga will play against Vytis (#7) in Sakiai in the next round where they are favorite. Nafta-Uni. will play on the road against Perlas-MRU (#5) in Vilnius and hopes to get back on the winning track.
