Regular Season Round 19: Wolfenbuettel - Iserlohn 69-68

Very important is a road loss of third ranked Iserlohn (12-7) against tenth ranked Herzoege Wolfenbuettel (7-12) on Saturday night. Visiting Iserlohn was edged by Herzoege Wolfenbuettel in a tough game in Wolfenbuettel 68-69. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Iserlohn. 24 personal fouls committed by Iserlohn helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Demetrius Ward (188-90, college: W.Michigan) who led the winners and scored 10 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. His fellow American import center Khalil Kelley (203-91, college: Pacific) accounted for 15 points for the winning side. Ward is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. American-Ivorian forward Moussa Kone (203-93, college: Hofstra, agency: Dynamics Global Management) came up with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 15 rebounds and American guard Terrell Harris (191-93, college: Georgia Coll.) added 16 points respectively for Iserlohn in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Herzoege Wolfenbuettel maintains tenth place in North with 7-12 record. Iserlohn at the other side keeps the third position with seven games lost. Herzoege Wolfenbuettel's next round opponent will be RSV Eintracht (#11) in Stahnsdorf. Iserlohn will play at home against Itzehoe (#7) and hope to win that game.
