Very important is a road loss of third ranked Balkan (9-7) against fourth ranked Beroe (10-6) on Saturday night. Visiting Balkan was crushed by Beroe in Stara Zagora 87-61. Croatian power forward Stjepan Tesija (206-89) notched 15 points and 7 rebounds to lead the effort and American guard Brandis Raley-Ross (191-87, college: S.Carolina) supported him with 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Beroe players scored in double figures. Even 23 points and 6 rebounds by Montenegrin center Mihailo Sekulovic (206-91) did not help to save the game for Balkan. Serbian power forward Dusan Cvetkovic (205-89, agency: BeoBasket) added 16 points and 8 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Beroe moved-up to third place. Balkan at the other side dropped to the fourth position with seven games lost. They share it with Rilski.
