The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Wolfpack Wolfenbuettel as it allowed them to take a leadership position in North. Wolfpack Wolfenbuettel defeated 7th ranked SG BBZ Opladen at home 72-55. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of SG BBZ Opladen. The game was mostly controlled by Wolfpack Wolfenbuettel. SG BBZ Opladen managed to win second period 22-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Wolfpack Wolfenbuettel dominated on the defensive end, holding SG BBZ Opladen to just 7 points in first quarter.
