DBBL top team - Gruner Stern Keltern (15-2) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat eighth ranked SV Halle Lions (6-10) 75-64. The game was mostly controlled by Gruner Stern Keltern. SV Halle Lions was better in second period 19-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Belgian Emmanuella Mayombo (170-92, agency: LBM Management) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners and American point guard Quenese Davis (170-88, college: San Diego St.) chipped in 21 points. American point guard Janee Thompson (170-93, college: Kentucky) responded with 28 points and 7 rebounds and the other American import forward Sarah Hammond (188-93, college: Louisville) scored 7 points and 8 rebounds. SV Halle Lions' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Gruner Stern Keltern have an impressive series of fourteen victories in a row. They maintain first place with 15-2 record, which they share with Wasserburg. SV Halle Lions at the other side keep the eighth position with ten games lost.
