Regular Season Round 23: Horsens IC - Naestved 96-85

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Horsens. First ranked Horsens IC faced 3rd placed Naestved. Host Horsens IC (19-2) defeated guests from Naestved (11-10) 96-85. The game was mostly controlled by Horsens IC. Naestved managed to win fourth quarter 27-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Horsens IC dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Naestved's 32. The best player for the winners was American power forward Will Artino (211-92, college: Creighton) who scored 25 points. International guard Gabriel Lundberg (193-94) chipped in 18 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Horsens IC players scored in double figures. Horsens IC's coach Arnel Dedic used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American guard Deon Mitchell (186-93, college: N.Iowa) produced 23 points and 4 assists and Guamanian-American guard Earnest Ross (196-91, college: Missouri) added 20 points and 5 rebounds (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!) respectively for the guests. Horsens IC have an impressive series of six victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 19-2 record. Naestved at the other side keeps the third position with ten games lost. Horsens IC will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Naestved will play at home against the league's second-placed Bakken and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
