No shocking result in a game when second ranked Goettingen (14-3) defeated at home 5th ranked Krofdorf/Gleib. (9-8) 85-72 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Goettingen. Krofdorf/Gleib. was better in second period 20-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Goettingen looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Goettingen maintains second place in North with 14-3 record having just seven point less than leader Wolfenbuettel. Newly promoted Krofdorf/Gleib. keeps the fifth position with eight games lost. Goettingen will face Braunschweig (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Krofdorf/Gleib. will play against Baskets Grunberg (#6) in Gruenberg and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
